GrandVision Enterprise Architecture 2.0

GrandVision drive towards digitalization has expedited the need for a Fit-For-Purpose enterprise architecture. Our goal is to optimize and consolidate the often fragmented legacy of processes (both manual and automated) into an integrated environment that is responsive to change and supportive of the delivery of the business strategy. “A key goal of enterprise architecture entails maturing organizations from making locally optimal decisions to making globally optimal decisions.” In other words, breaking down the silos by planning across the organization

GEAR 2.0 is GrandVision's Enterprise Architecture Repository. This is a renewed effort of longstanding overdue need for an architectural discipline needed to revive our efforts to align the business and the technology that underlies GrandVision's drive towards digitalization. This program is not just meant for the Group IT but for the enterprise (including OpCos) as a whole. We from the GEAR team will extensively drive our mission to welcome and include one and all of the OpCos to the GEAR SME community. Your participation will make us stronger and unified in our collective mission.

Subscription to the APIs are straightforward and would be integrated with the GV SSO. All GV APIs are domain-centric and therefore resident to the integration domain as a service. Domain Applications/Systems and Channel Applications/Systems can subscribe to these APIs in order to render business services to the front-end and/or back-end fulfillment.
